Box Score HANOVER, Ind. – The Franklin College volleyball team opened the final week of regular season play on Wednesday (Oct. 27) night, hitting the road for a matchup with conference rival Hanover.
The Grizzlies (10-15, 2-6 HCAC) were unable to snap their recent slide, falling to the Panthers (15-9, 6-2 HCAC) in straight sets, 25-17, 25-17, 25-10.
Franklin got a team-high 11 kills from Miranda Wilson to lead an offense that struggled to get going all night, recording an attacking percentage of .067. Billie Jarrett had 20 assists on the night while Alyssa Zemlyak (six kills) and Chloe Holder (five kills) finished second and third on the team in kills overall.
Holder led all net-front defenders with three blocks while Allison Thompson dug up a team-high 12 balls on the back line.
Franklin wraps up the regular season on Saturday (Oct. 30) afternoon with a road matchup against the Defiance Yellow Jackets. First serve from Ohio is set for 4:00 p.m.
