Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College volleyball team closed out their home schedule on Saturday (Oct. 23) afternoon with a showdown against conference-leading Earlham College.
The Grizzlies (10-14, 2-5 HCAC) battled the Quakers (17-5, 6-1 HCAC) tough all afternoon, but were bested in three sets 25-21, 25-21, 25-19.
How it Happened
With the opening set tied at 10, the Quakers rattled off an 8-2 run to take control of the opening game. That proved to be a pattern for the day, as Earlham used critical runs in all three sets to put distance between the two sides.
Offensively, Earlham hit .298 on the afternoon with four different players recording double digit kills. Franklin hit a respectable .142 for the afternoon, with Miranda Wilson's 14 kills leading all players.
