Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College men's soccer team continued a lengthy road trip on Saturday (Oct. 2) afternoon with a matchup against conference rival Anderson University.
Junior Dillon Neel and freshman Jon Moore potted goals for Franklin (2-6-1, 0-1-1 HCAC). After 110 minutes of play, the Grizzlies and Ravens (3-6-2, 0-0-2 HCAC) could not decide a winner and both teams earned a point with a 2-2 draw.
How it Happened
Neel opened the scoring just 8:35 in when a long free kick from Angel Tapia was punched out of a crowd, allowing Neel to swoop in and boot the ball into the top of the net for his third goal of the year. The Ravens needed less than three minutes to get the equalizer, capping the scoring for the first half.
The game stayed level until the 64th minute, when a slick passing sequence between Angel Tapia and Eddy Yousak sprung Moore free and the freshman made no mistake in tight, netting his team-leading sixth goal of the year.
Franklin held the lead until the 83rd minute, when Anderson capitalized on a penalty kick for the equalizer. Overtime saw Franklin goalkeeper Elliott Clark stand tall, with the senior stopping all three shots on target in extra time.

-Clark turned in another strong outing in goal for the Grizzlies, stopping 12 of the 14 shots her faced.
-Moore and Neel were dangerous all afternoon, with the duo combining for eight of the Grizzlies 13 shot attempts.
-Moore moved in to a tie for fourth in the league with six goals and 12 total points. With his assist on the second goal, Yousak now sits in a tie for second among all league players with four assists.
