Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. (Jan. 28, 2017) – Behind a big lift from the bench, the Franklin College women's basketball team rolled to a 61-48 win Saturday afternoon at Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Earlham College.
The victory was the third straight for the Grizzlies (9-9 overall, 7-5 HCAC) and completed a two-game season sweep of the Quakers.
Senior guard Mandy Fisher poured in a game-high 21 points off the bench for the Grizzlies, whose second unit combined for 44 points. Fisher was 5 of 11 from the field, 11 of 14 from the foul line and hauled in five rebounds.
Junior guard Kelsey Smith came off the bench for eight points and a team-high six rebounds the Franklin, and freshman reserve guard Erin Bradley added six points and three rebounds.
Senior forward Sarah Taylor led Franklin's starters with seven points and four rebounds.
For Earlham (1-18, 1-11 HCAC), Hannah Franklin led the way with 12 points. Mariah Flynn added 11. They were the only Quakers in double figures.
Franklin returns to action Wednesday night against visiting HCAC opponent Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. in Spurlock Center.
