Box Score Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's soccer team had three players find the back of the net in earning a 4-1 victory over Manchester University in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Tuesday during Senior Night at Faught Stadium.
Franklin (14-2, 7-1 HCAC) got on the scoreboard 10 minutes into the match on the 19th goal of the season by freshman Maddie Fleet (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian). Sophomore Clare Lenart (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) contributed the first of her two first-half assists on Fleet's tally.
Junior Audra Lane (Washington, Ind./Washington) scored in the 20th and 35th minutes to extend the lead to 3-0. The defender has now scored four goals on the season.
Sophomore Haley Lowe (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) gave Franklin a 4-0 lead in the 41st minute with her sixth goal of the season after receiving a pass from sophomore Kelsey Brunsman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Wyoming).
Franklin held a 15-6 shot advantage for the match, including five players each with two shots.
Seniors Marci Black (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian), Michelle Murphy (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North), Allie Amato (Noblesville, Ind./Cathedral), and Emma Hagist (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) were honored pregame during the final home regular-season match of the 2015 season.
Franklin returns to the pitch on Saturday, October 31, at 1 p.m. when it closes the regular season at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. The Grizzlies will host a semifinal match on Wednesday, November 4, at 7 p.m. from Faught Stadium.
