Franklin, Ind. - Franklin College freshman Maddie Fleet (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) scored in the 25th minute as the women's soccer team picked up a 1-0 home win over Anderson University in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play on Saturday evening from Faught Stadium.

The Grizzlies won their 13th match of the season, setting a new school record for victories.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Young (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) made the first-half goal stand up with her second shutout of the season. She stopped both shots on goal in the match.

Franklin held a 15-4 shot advantage for the match, including an 8-1 mark in the second half. Fleet led the offensive attack with eight shots. Sophomores Clare Lenart (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) and Haley Lowe (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) each recorded two shots in the contest.

The Grizzlies remain tied for first place in the HCAC with a 6-1 league record.
