Box Score Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw against Bluffton University on Saturday from Faught Stadium in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action.
The Grizzlies (5-7-2, 2-2-1 HCAC) recorded 31 shots in the match, including 11 shots on goal.
In the second overtime period, sophomore Cam Mattern (Pittsboro, Ind./Brownsburg) hit the right post on a header from a corner kick.
Senior Austin Fundenberger (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) tallied 11 shots in the match. Sophomore Austin Storm (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) and Mattern each recorded four shots. Sophomore Cole Reichard (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville) and senior Thaddeus Broderick (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) each posted three shots.
Senior goalkeeper Cody Chapman (Vincennes, Ind./Washington) stopped all five shots on goal by the Beavers in secure the shutout.
Franklin held a 17-6 shot edge in the second half and recorded seven shots in the two overtime periods.
