Women's Soccer Loses Home Match to DePauw 2-0

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's soccer team saw its three-match winning streak snapped in a 2-0 home loss to DePauw University on Thursday night at Faught Stadium. The Grizzlies now stand 3-3 on the season.

The visiting Tigers (3-4) scored once in each half to pick up the victory.

DePauw, a 2012 NCAA tournament participant, got on the scoreboard in the 26th minute on a goal from Sophia Da Silveira.

The team added an insurance goal in the 78th minute when Stephanie Martin was on the receiving end of Chloe Jacob assist.

Franklin junior Hayley Kemp (Avon, Ind./Avon) and junior Kayla Dragstrem (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) each had one shot in the match.

Freshman goalkeeper Kelsie Williams (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) made six saves in goal.

Franklin returns to the pitch on Saturday, September 21 at 7 p.m. at Wilmington College.
