Cincinnati, Ohio - The Franklin College women's basketball team beat the College of Mount Saint Joseph Lions 62-54 on Wednesday evening.

The Lions were able to keep up with the Grizzlies in the first half only trailing by one at the half. The Grizzlies went on a 6-0 run early in the second half and were able to maintain their lead the rest of the game.

Senior guard Lindsay Rich led the Grizzlies with 17 points, seven rebounds, and one steal. Center Jess Prewett contributed 10 points and nine rebounds.

Heidi McManus led the Lions with 14 points and three rebounds.

The Grizzlies improve to 15-3, 21-4 overall, and remain second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Mount falls to 2-16 in the HCAC and 3-22 overall.

The Grizzlies will return home on Saturday, Feb. 16,  for the final game of the regular season against Defiance at 2 p.m. in the Spurlock Center gym.
