Women's Soccer Loses Road Finale

Hanover, Ind. - The Franklin College women's soccer team closed out the road portion of its schedule with a 6-1 loss at Hanover College, ranked No. 1 regionally, on Tuesday afternoon in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.

The Grizzlies (8-9, 2-6 HCAC) got on the board first on a goal from senior Natalie Scott (Whiteland, Ind./Whiteland Community) in the 13th minute. The goal was set up by junior Brandy Ramaj (Washington, Ind./Washington) and senior Vanessa Benham (Needham, Ind./Franklin Community).

Benham continues to lead the HCAC in goals, assists and points.

Hanover (14-1-2, 7-0-1) answered on a goal from Rachel Alvis in the 22nd minute. The hosts added two more goals in the first half in the 27th and 31st minutes. Hanover scored three second-half goals to secure the win.

Ramaj led the Grizzlies with two shots, while freshman Taylor Travis (Indianapolis, Ind./Lutheran) and Scott each added one shot.

Franklin closes out the season on Saturday, November 2 at 6 p.m. when it hosts Anderson University at Faught Stadium. Live video and statistics of the match will be available here.
