Men's Soccer Loses Overtime Match to Bluffton

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime match to Bluffton University in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Saturday at Faught Stadium. The visiting Beavers scored in the 98th minute to break the scoreless match.

Franklin (4-9-2, 2-5 HCAC) controlled most of the play, holding a 24-9 edge in shots and a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Bluffton's T.J. Kline scored his first goal of the season in the team's lone shot of the extra period.

Sophomore Austin Fundenberger (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) had a game-high five shots, including four on goal. Junior Brandon Iaria (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) also recorded five shots in the match.

Senior Chad Parrett (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) had four shot attempts and freshman Antonio Gioe (Martinsville, Ind./Mooresville) rounded out the team's 24-shot attack with three shots.

Franklin returns to action on Wednesday, October 30 at 3:30 p.m. at rival Hanover College.
