Randy Stevenson

Randy Stevenson joins the Franklin College cross country and track & field program as an assistant coach, overseeing the short sprints, hurdles, 
jumps, pole vault and javelin events.

Stevenson came to the Grizzlies after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach at the University of Minnesota Morris, where he worked primarily with the Cougars’ sprint 
and jump athletes. During his season with the program, Stevenson’s athletes recorded 29 personal bests and eight new additions to the school’s all-time performance lists while
the men’s and women’s cross country teams also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

Prior to his stint at Minnesota Morris, Stevenson spent five seasons at his alma mater, Central Washington University, coaching sprints, hurdles and jumps. During his tenure, he 
coached 31 GNAC individual champions, 23 national qualifying performances, 51 school records, 84 All-Conference performances, 12 All-Americans and three national 
champions. Stevenson helped guide athletes E’lexis Hollis and Emy Ntekpere to success at the conference and national levels, with Hollis setting the GNAC record in the 60-meter dash and earning six All-America honors while Ntekpere established GNAC records in the high jump and triple jump and became the 2025 NCAA Division II national champion in the indoor and outdoor triple jump as well as the outdoor high jump.

Stevenson was a finalist for the 2024 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Men’s West Region Assistant Coach of the Year and is a USATF Level 1 certified coach. Stevenson earned his 
bachelor’s degree in sport management in 2021 and his master’s degree in athletic administration in 2023.
