Kendal Kendrick is in his first season as the defensive line coach for Franklin College.

Kendrick had an accomplished playing career on the gridiron, originally walking on at Ball State in 2017 before earning a scholarship two years later. He was a part of a MAC championship team at BSU in 2020, the Cardinals' first title in 24 years, was well as part of the first bowl win in school history. He was an academic all-conference honoree as well.

Prior to Ball State, Kendrick attended Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis, where he earned four varsity letters in track and field as a thrower and lettered three times in football. During his senior football season in 2016, he earned Class 6A All-State honors from the IFCA.

His coaching career started back at Franklin Central, where he spent two seasons coaching the defensive line while also serving as the defensive coordinator for the Flashes' freshman team.

Born on Feb. 14, 1999 to Carl and Terese Kendrick, Kendal is now married to Jimmi Westbrook.
