Daniel Hill is entering his fourth season as the offensive coordinator and play caller for the Grizzlies. He will also be overseeing the offensive line this season alongside assistant Aaron Karrer after spending his first three years with the quarterbacks and offensive skill position players.
The Franklin offense ranked 21st nationally in passing yardage (2,891) during the 2025 season, with quarterback Marshall Kmiecik earning second team All-HCAC honors. The aerial prowess marked a decided swing from Hill's first two seasons, when All-American running back Garrett Cora powered a record-breaking ground game. Hill has mentored 16 All-HCAC players in all during his tenure.
Prior to his arrival in Franklin, Hill spent a pair of seasons at Monmouth College in Illinois, where he coached quarterbacks, offensive skill players and special teams. The team went 18-4 over his two years, winning the Lakefront Bowl and a share of the Midwest Conference championship in 2022. That stint followed a successful two-year run at Berry College in Georgia, where Hill was the special teams coordinator and coached receivers and tight ends. Berry won back-to-back SAA titles and reached the NCAA playoffs in 2019, averaging 35 points per game. Hill coached All-American receiver Mason Kinsey, who has since gone on to play for the NFL's Tennessee Titans.
Hill started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Illinois Wesleyan (2017-18), working with wide receivers and the punt team for a two-time CCIW champion and 2017 NCAA qualifier.
A summa cum laude graduate from Ball State in 2017, Hill lives in Franklin with his wife Katelyn and their daughters.
