Franklin College

Cal Price is entering his second season on staff at Franklin. In his first season, he helped lead the team to a 16-11 record (11-7 HCAC) — the Grizzlies' first back-to-back 15-win seasons since 2009 — and a semifinal appearance in the HCAC Tournament. He assisted in all aspects of the program including game planning, scouting, recruiting, player development and basketball operations. As the team's "defensive coordinator," he helped the Griz rank in the top 50 nationally in points per play in transition (.91) and press defense (.75) as well as steals per game (9.5).

He also assisted in the development of two All-HCAC honorees, guards Cooper Mathews (first team) and Justin Harrington (honorable mention).

Price is a graduate of The University of the South: Sewanee ('25), where he studied economics and was played as freshman on the basketball team before injuries shifted his focus to coaching for the remainder of his career. As a student assistant coach, he helped the Tigers to an SAA championship and national tournament appearance in the 2022-23 season. Price was involved in player development and training of four All-SAA players and assisted with scouting and recruiting.
