Roger Lundy

Roger Lundy, PGA Golf Professional was appointed Franklin College’s head women’s golf in July 2007 after being a Volunteer Asst. Coach for 2 years, he has guided the Grizzlies to the NCAA national competition in 7 of the previous 18 years. He served as head men's golf coach from 2009 through 2015, succeeding 10-time conference coach of the year Richard Park, who had guided the program for 31 seasons.

Lundy currently is the Southern Indiana Program Director for First Tee Indiana.  Was the Director of the Gongaware Golf Academy at the Indiana Golf Association office in Franklin 2004 to 2017.   His previous college head coaching experience was at Manchester College from 1994 to 2004, where he started the women’s program and received his first HCAC Coach of the Year award in 2003-2004.  He succeeded Steve Richards, who had a player qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships five times and was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year twice after guiding the Grizzlies to respective HCAC titles in 2001 and 2002.

In 2007-2008, 2009-10, 2011-2012 & 2012-2013 Lundy guided the Franklin women’s squad to HCAC titles and more automatic qualifications to the NCAA Division III Championship.  The program also boasts about having 18 Academic All American Scholars.  We strive to do two things in the program; graduate all our players and prepare to win championships.

Lundy is a 1984 graduate of Ferris State University, where he studied business and marketing with a professional golf management endorsement. While coaching at Manchester, he was head PGA Golf Professional at Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind. from 1993 to 2004. Lundy was named the HCAC women’s golf Coach of the Year in 2003, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Has been recognized with the Indiana PGA Junior Golf Leader Award in 1991 and 2006 and was the recipient of the U.S. Kids Golf Master Kids Teacher honor in 2008.  He and his wife Denise reside in Greenwood and have three grown children and 5 grandchildren.  GO GRIZ!!
