Whether it's schoolwork or pool work, Franklin women's swimming and diving continues to maintain the same standard of excellence.
The Grizzlies were among the teams honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America team, one of 714 men's or women's teams representing 418 schools nationwide.Â
Teams needed to post a collective grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the spring semester to be eligible; Franklin's women finished with a team GPA of 3.57 while winning their ninth consecutive HCAC championship this past season.
"It's great having a women's team that wins both in and out of the water!" Griz coach Zach Rayce said.
Seven members of the team —
Megan Cyrus,
Bri Gogis,
Celeste Hollis,
Macie McQuinn,
Landi Newcomb,
Kaleigh Schuler and
Avery Tomlinson — earned HCAC All-Academic honors for the winter season.
