FRANKLIN – The Franklin women's lacrosse team continued a five-game homestand on Friday (Mar. 28) night, hosting the Pointers of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Sophomore
Addie Whitman potted four goals to lead the Franklin (0-4) offense, but the Grizzlies fell to the Pointers (1-6) by a 22-6 score.
Down by four in the first quarter, the Grizzlies made a charge late in the first quarter with two goals from Whitman and one from
Abby Moore to cut the Pointers' lead to 5-3 with 3:56 to go in the opening period. But the guests netted three goals to close out the first quarter, starting a string of 10 straight Stevens Point goals before Whitman netted her third of the game late in the first half.
Whitman and Moore both found the back of the net once each in the second half, capping the scoring for the Grizzlies.

-Moore finished with two goals, three shots on goal and caused a team-high six turnovers.
