FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin women's swimming & diving team welcomed the Hanover Panthers to town on Saturday (Dec. 3) afternoon for their final home dual meet of the calendar year.
The Grizzlies claimed first place in all 13 events and moved to 4-1 in duals this year with a 165-24 win over the Panthers.
Four different Grizzlies earned multiple individual wins on the afternoon. Junior
Samantha Phillips was the first after taking the top spot in both the 50 free (26.41) and the 500 free (5:34.95). Fellow junior
Regan Hendricks claimed the top spot in both the 400 IM (5:07.58) and the 100 butterfly (1:07.27) and senior
Caileigh McCafferty won the 100 free (55.99) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.82). On the one-meter board, junior
Carley Bond claimed both diving sessions, winning the first with 171.22 points and the second with 251.93 points.

Kennedy Minter won the 100 backstroke in 1:07.35, sophomore
Grace Williams won the 200 free in 2:16.23 and sophomore
Erin Perkins claimed the 1650 free in 19:21.87 to round out the individual winners. The 400 medley relay won in 4:30.72 and the 200 free relay closed out the day with a winning time of 1:52.43.
The Grizzlies close out the 2022 calendar year next Saturday (Dec. 10) with a road dual matchup against the Anderson Ravens. Start time is set for 1:00 p.m.
