Women’s Track Team Wins Home Meet

FRANKLIN, Ind. (April 8, 2017) – The Franklin College women's outdoor track and field team enjoyed a successful outing at Saturday's home meet.

The women won the team championship in a four-team field that included Thomas More, Mount St. Joseph and Earlham. The Grizzlies won with a score of 87, followed by Thomas More (80), Mount St. Joseph (56) and Earlham (53).

Franklin's women's winners Kelsey Bowling in the 100-meter hurdles (:16.97), long jump (4.78 meters) and triple jump (10.33 meters); Rachel Bowden in the 3,000 steeplechase (13:30.33); Erica Christy in the shot put (11.92 meters) and hammer throw (41.11 meters); and Laura Worthington in the discus (33.59 meters).

Franklin's next meet is April 28 at the HCAC Outdoor Championships at Anderson University.
