FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Franklin College women's soccer team unveiled their 2019 schedule on Tuesday (Jul. 16) afternoon, with nine home matches set to be played at Faught Stadium this coming fall.
The regular season begins on Friday evening, Aug. 30, when the Grizzlies kick off the season against Trine University at 5:00 p.m. Two days later, the Grizzlies will defend their home field against Concordia Wisconsin, closing out the first of two brief non-conference homestands.
Following a pair of games away from home, the Grizzlies close out their non-conference home schedule with consecutive matches against DePauw (Sept. 10), Alma (Sept. 15) and Denison (Sept. 18). After a season-high five-match road swing, the Grizzlies welcome Bluffton to Faught Stadium for their conference home opener on Oct. 12 as part of the homecoming festivities. Other conference home games feature matchups with Manchester (Oct. 16), Earlham (Oct. 26) and Transylvania (Oct. 30).
The Grizzlies will hit the road for five non-conference contests to prepare for HCAC play, taking on Wisconsin-La Crosse (Sept. 6), Calvin (Sept. 7), Kenyon (Sept. 21), Centre (Sept. 24) and Wittenberg (Oct. 1). In league play, the Grizzlies hit the road for meetings with Defiance (Oct. 5), Hanover (Oct. 9), Anderson (Oct. 19), Rose-Hulman (Oct. 23) and Mount St. Joseph (Nov. 2).
