Women’s Soccer Travels to DePauw on Wednesday

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's soccer team puts a two-match winning streak on the line when it travels to DePauw University for a match on Wednesday, September 17 at 7 p.m. from Greencastle, Indiana.

The Grizzlies stand 2-1 on the season after a 4-0 home triumph over St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on September 10. The team also picked up a 1-0 victory over Wilmington College (Ohio) on August 30.

Franklin is averaging 2.67 goals per match and has three players tallying two goals each. Freshman Haley Lowe (Lawrenceburg, Ind./Lawrenceburg) netted two goals against St. Mary-of-the-Woods. Classmate Masey Bunn (Speedway, Ind./Brownsburg) scored the game-winning goal against Wilmington. Freshman Jessica Silva (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) has also scored two goals.

Senior Rachel Lucas (Avon, Ind./Avon) leads the team with two assists.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsie Williams (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) has posted two wins and has a 1.60 goals against average.
