HARRISON, Ohio – The Franklin College women's golf team brought their season to a close over the weekend, taking third place at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational, held at Miami Whitewater Golf Course.
Three Grizzlies placed in the top-10 at the event. As a team, Franklin carded a two-day score of 722 (366-356), finishing behind Rose-Hulman and Mount St. Joseph on the leaderboard.
In her final career meet, senior Hannah White topped the Franklin leaderboard, earning a share of sixth place with a 176 (87-89), giving White her highest individual finish of the year. Right behind her on the leaderboard was junior Keely Townsend, whose 180 (94-86) earned her an eighth-place finish. Freshman Megg Hensler also cracked the top-10, taking ninth place with a 181 (92-89).
Junior Hannah Sharkey (93-92-185) and freshman Jaley Schlosser (98-96-194) rounded out the FC top-five with 12th and 17th place finishes, respectively. Mackenzie Black competed as an individual, finishing 19th overall with a 209 (102-107).
