Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's golf team will be one of the top contenders at this weekend's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Women's Golf Championships hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The first 18 holes will be completed on Saturday, October 8, while the final round set for Sunday, October 9.
The Grizzlies are coming off a tournament title at the Franklin Fall Invitational last Saturday. The team placed second and was the highest HCAC finisher during the Rose-Hulman Invitational at Hulman Links Golf Course from September 17-18.
Senior Paige Lundy is the reigning HCAC Player of the Week after winning medalist honors at the Franklin Fall Invitational with a 77-stroke score. Senior Annie Rodgers placed second with an 81-stroke score during the tournament.
Sophomore Keely Townsend led the Grizzlies during the Rose-Hulman Invitational by tying for seventh place with a 164 composite score. She carded a 79-stroke score during the final round. Franklin edged Rose-Hulman by two strokes for second place and was 10 strokes ahead of fourth-place Hanover College.
