Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's golf team took top honors in the Franklin Fall Invitational on Saturday at The Legends Golf Club. The tournament marked the team's final tune-up for next weekend's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships.
Franklin posted a 345-stroke team score after having the top two individual finishers in the 18-hole tournament. Senior Paige Lundy took medalist honors with a season-best 77-stroke score, while senior Annie Rodgers placed second with an 81-stroke score.
Junior Hannah White finished 10th behind a 90-stroke score.
The Grizzlies won the tournament by nine strokes over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College placed third (364) and Spalding University had a fourth-place finish (384).
The HCAC Championships are set for October 8-9 from Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
