Women’s Golf Preparing to Host the Fall Invite

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's golf team has its final tune-up for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships when it hosts the Franklin Fall Invitational on Saturday, October 1 at 9:30 a.m. at The Legends Golf Club.

The 18-hole tournament features Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Spalding University, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, and Franklin.

 The Grizzlies have registered two top-five finishes this fall, led by a runner-up performance during the Rose-Hulman Invitational from September 17-18. Franklin placed fourth at the Rhodes Invitational from September 11-12.

Junior Hannah White leads the team with an 85.25 season scoring average. Sophomore Keely Townsend has recorded the best score with a 79-stroke score during the Rose-Hulman Invitational. Townsend has posted an 86.66 scoring average this fall.

The HCAC Championships are set for October 8-9 from Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute, Indiana and hosted by Rose-Hulman.
