LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Franklin College sophomore catcher Natalie Weber was named First Team All-Central Region when the National Fast Pitch Association (NFCA) unveiled its all-region teams on Wednesday (May 15) afternoon.
The Shelbyville, Ind.-native was an absolute force for the Grizzlies in 2019, leading the team in almost all major offensive categories. She started all 36 games on the year, batting .443 with five home runs, 31 RBI, 29 runs scored, 51 hits, eight doubles, three triples, a .504 on-base percentage and a .696 slugging percentage.
A First Team All-HCAC selection and two-time HCAC Player of the Week, Weber becomes the first Franklin softball player in program history to be named first team all-region by the NFCA. She moves on to the national ballot and is eligible for NFCA All-American selection, which will take place on May 22.
