NEW ORLEANS, La. – Franklin College senior thrower Nathan Adams was rewarded for a strong senior season by being named to the All-Great Lakes Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Indianapolis, Ind.-native was one of 743 athletes across the country to pick up all-region honors. The top-five individuals in each event from around the country claimed all-region honors, along with members of the region's top-three relay teams.
Adams re-wrote the Franklin record book with his performance in the hammer throw this spring, claiming a new program record in the event with a toss of 55.25 meters at the 2018 Billy Hayes Invitational on May 4, 2018. During the outdoor season, Adams took first place in the event one time and racked up four second place finishes.
Adams was named HCAC Field Athlete of the Week once and picked up Second Team All-HCAC recognition after a second place finish in the hammer throw at the conference's outdoor championships.
