FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College men's tennis team wrapped up their six-match fall schedule on Tuesday (Oct. 16) night, taking on Indiana East at the Mickel-Hoover Tennis Complex.
The Grizzlies fell in their final fall dual, dropping an 8-1 decision to the Red Wolves (5-2). After dropping all three doubles matches to the IU East, the Grizzlies collected their lone point of the night when Josh Stewart earned a 6-3, 3-6, 10-4 win over his counterpart at the No. 6 singles position. The rest of the Grizzlies battled hard in singles play with two other matches going three sets, but they couldn't come away with any more points.
Franklin finishes the fall season with a 2-4 record heading into the spring. The Grizzlies open the spring season on Feb. 9 when they face off with Principia College at 10:00 a.m.
