  • Schneider Concludes Brilliant Swimming Career

    FRANKLIN, Ind. (March 20, 2017) – This past weekend, Franklin College senior Artur Schneider wrapped up his college swimming career at the 2017 NCAA National Swimming & Diving Championships. It was the third time in as many years that Schneider qualified for the national competition. He competed in the 200 individual medley, 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle.

Schneider will compete in the 200-yard individual medley, the 100 backstroke and the 100 freestyle at the March 15-18 Championships in Shenandoah, Texas.

    FRANKLIN, Ind. (Feb 13, 2017) – Not long ago, Franklin College did not offer a men’s or women’s swimming and diving program. But in 2009, administrators at the college expanded the athletic offerings at the school. Initially, the men's and women's teams were club teams, and the college hired Andrew Hendricks to be the school's first ever swim coach. Since then, the teams have been on a steady and perhaps unprecedented upward path.

The victory was a first for the program and helps solidify an already successful dual meet season for the Grizzlies, who are undefeated.
