FRANKLIN, Ind. - With the start of the regular season less than two months away, Franklin College head men's soccer coach Cody Graman has announced the 2019 schedule, which will see the Grizzlies host 11 matches at Faught Stadium this fall.
The season kicks off with a five-game homestand, starting under the lights on Aug. 30 when the Grizzlies welcome Wabash College to town for a 7:30 first whistle. Franklin follows that up with contests against Adrian (Sept. 1), Rockford (Sept. 6) and Illinois College (Sept. 8) before closing out the homestand against DePauw (Sept. 10). Also making the trek to town for non-conference games are Wilmington (Sept. 20) and St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Sept. 26).
The Grizzlies welcome Hanover to town for their first conference home match of the Year on Oct. 9 and follow it up with a showdown against Bluffton on Oct. 12 to wrap up an eventful homecoming weekend. Franklin closes things out at home late in October with back-to-back contests against Rose-Hulman (Oct. 23) and Earlham (Oct. 26).
Franklin will play all four of their non-conference road games over a seven-day stretch in September, facing off with Finlandia (Sept. 14), Illinois Tech (Sept. 15), Spalding (Sept. 17) and MacMurray (Sept. 22). In HCAC play, the Grizzlies will head to Defiance (Oct. 5), Manchester (Oct. 16), Anderson (Oct. 19), Transylvania (Oct. 30) and Mount St. Joseph (Nov. 2).
