CARMEL, Ind. – Franklin College junior Brock Tennyson was rewarded for his personal-best finish at last weekend when he was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's (HCAC) Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.

The Howell, Mich.-native earned the league's weekly award for the first time in his career after a strong showing at the annual Dr. Richard Park Invitational in Franklin last Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 7-8). Tennyson shot a +2 146, firing consecutive rounds of 73 to post a personal best 36-hole score and earn a share of third place overall. As a team, the Grizzlies took third place at their home event with a team score of 602 (302-300).

Tennyson becomes the first Grizzly men's golfer to be named HCAC Player of the Week since teammate Jackson Williams back on Apr. 9 of this year.

Franklin's next tournament will take them to Harrison, Ohio on Sept. 21-22 for the Mount St. Joseph Invitational at Miami Whitewater Forest GC.
