FRANKLIN, Ind. (Jan. 17, 2017) – The Franklin College men's basketball team will host Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Hanover on Wednesday night's Bankers Rivalry Night. The Grizzlies are 4-10 overall and 1-6 in the HCAC.
Franklin's season scoring leader is senior guard Aaron Mann, who averages 18.9 points per game. He is also the Grizzlies' leading rebounder at 7.2 rebounds per game. Junior center John Beineke averages 15.2 points and 6.6 rebounds and is among the HCAC leaders in field goal shooting at 63.9 percent from the field. Senior guard Robbie Prather averages 14.5 ppg and shoots a team-leading 39.6 percent from 3-point range.
Senior forward Brent McCrory and freshman guard Braxton Day are also among the Grizzlies' top contributors. McCrory averages 8.4 points and 5.7 rebounds, and Day averages 8.5 ppg.
Hanover is 12-2 overall and tied for the league lead with a 7-1 mark in HCAC games. The Panthers are led by junior Wes McKinney, who averages team-highs of 20.5 ppg and 8.0 rpg. Sophomore Cam Falls averages 14.9 ppg, and senior Corey Muchmore averges 13.6 ppg.
Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. at the Spurlock Center.
