Bud Boughton has been actively involved with the Franklin College football program for the last 11 seasons. Over the years he has served as an assistant position coach working with the offensive line, tight ends and wide receivers. More recently, he has served as Senior Consultant to Head Coach Mike Leonard and in 2017, served as Team Chaplain. Boughton has previous college coaching experience having coached at Ball State University and Earlham College.
Bud played his college football at the University of Buffalo and Ashland University where he is a member of their All-Sports Hall of Fame. He has extensive background as a corporate executive and is also a published author. His latest book, Coaching is Teaching at its Best! serves as an excellent guide for youth coaches and even coaches at the collegiate level who want to be better teaching coaches.
