Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College football team seeks its fifth consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) victory this season when Mount St. Joseph University comes to Faught Stadium for Homecoming on Saturday, October 17, at 1:30 p.m.

Franklin stands 4-2 on the season and is 4-0 in HCAC action. The team is coming off an 80-19 win at Earlham College last Saturday. Those 80 points tied a school record.

Sophomore quarterback Chase Burton (Corydon, Ind./Corydon Central) is the reigning HCAC Offensive Player of the Week -- the third time straight week he has been recognized this fall. He completed all 16 of his passes at Earlham, for six touchdowns and 327 yards.

Burton ranks second among NCAA Division III quarterbacks in passing yards (1,931 yards); third in passing touchdowns (20); fourth in points responsible for (144); seventh in passing yards per game (321.8 yards); ninth in total offense (330.8 yards per game); and 10th in completions per game (26.7).

Fourteen different receivers have caught a pass this season, led by sophomore wingback Lee Wroblewski (Salem, Ind./Paoli) with 33 receptions for 464 yards and six touchdowns. Senior split end Mason Deal (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) ranks second on the team with 27 catches for 373 yards and four touchdowns. Senior wingback Kendal Butler (Toledo, Ill./Cumberland) has caught 22 passes for 278 yards. Sophomore split end Darrell Crenshaw (Trotwood, Ohio/Madison Trotwood) has added 21 receptions and three touchdowns.

The Grizzlies' offense isn't doing everything through the air. The rushing attack has gained 150 or more yards in four consecutive games – for the first time since the 2010 season. The team had 258 rushing yards last Saturday at Earlham, and had a season-high 324 yards at Anderson University on September 19.

Junior running back Ty'Ronte Files (Ocala, Fla./Vanguard) is tops on the team with 359 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Junior running back Kole Stogner (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood) has added two scores on the ground and 4.8 yards per rushing attempt this season.

Defensively, Franklin has recorded an interception in its last four games. Junior defensive back Taylor Christensen (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) leads the team with three interceptions and has picked off a pass in three straight contests.

Senior linebacker Jeremiah Windell (Corydon, Ind./Corydon Central) leads the team with 40 tackles. Senior linebacker Lucas Windell (Corydon, Ind./Corydon Central) has recorded 30 tackles on the season. Junior linebacker Austin Day (Indianapolis, Ind./Decatur Central) has registered 29 tackles, including five tackles for loss.

Franklin College Athletics will recognize members of the 2015 Athletic Hall of the Fame induction class on the field at halftime of the Homecoming game. The group features former wide receiver Robbie Ray '80, women's basketball/softball player Jodi Graber Berry '94, and men's track and field athlete Bryan Epperson '93. They were formally inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame during a ceremony on Thursday, October 15.
