Richmond, Ind. - Franklin College sophomore quarterback Chase Burton (Corydon, Ind./Corydon Central) completed all 16 passing attempts for 327 yards and six touchdowns as the football team won 80-19 at Earlham College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play on Saturday.
The Grizzlies (4-2, 4-0 HCAC) scored 54 points in the first half, including four scores on the first play of a drive.
Sophomore wingback Lee Wroblewski (Salem, Ind./Paoli) caught four passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns. He had a 39-yard reception for a touchdown on the game's first play. Wroblewski added touchdown receptions of 50- and 52-yards in the second quarter.
Sophomore split end Darrell Crenshaw (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood Madison) had two touchdown catches, while senior Mason Deal (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) had a touchdown reception during the first half.
Junior running back Kole Stogner (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood) rushed 33 yards for a first-quarter score in his only carry of the game. Classmate Ty'Ronte Files (Ocala, Fla./Vanguard) gained 67 yards on six carries and had one touchdown.
The Grizzlies gained 650 yards, including 258 rushing yards. Franklin has rushed for 150 or more yards in four consecutive games for the first time since the 2010 season.
Defensively, junior lineman Devante Ash (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) led the team with five tackles. Sophomore linebacker Jay McClain (Louisville, Ky./New Albany) and junior linebacker Austin Day (Indianapolis, Ind./Decatur Central) also recorded five tackles in the contest.
Junior defensive back Taylor Christensen (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) had an interception for the third consecutive game.
