FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College baseball team made their debut in one national poll this week and received a slight bump in this week's installment of another.
Following a sweep of Manchester last weekend, the Grizzlies (24-2, 9-1 HCAC) vaulted to No. 17 in this week's ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Newspaper rankings. After three straight weeks on the cusp of cracking the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association/D3Baseball poll, Franklin made their season debut in the top-25 at No. 22 overall.
A few short hours after the rankings came out, the Grizzlies ran their winning streak to five games with a sweep of Rose-Hulman on Tuesday at John P. McDowell Field.
Next up for the Grizzlies is a showdown with defending conference champion Earlham on Saturday (Apr. 21) at McDowell Field. First pitch comes your way at noon.
